Everything I Want

Plus how much it might cost me.

New towels, 4 bath, 4 hand (no washcloths, I use plastic drugstore loofahs): $60 for bath, $40 for hand according to Bed Bath & Beyond

New bathmat, even though I just bought one last year (I spilled hair dye on it): $20

New dishtowels, 8 standard, 8 small square: $60 for standard, $30 for small square, and why is Bed Bath & Beyond selling dishtowels for the same price as bath towels???

New sofa: $300? Seriously? Should I get a $300 Bed Bath & Beyond sofa? Is that going to be better or worse than the West Elm’s Peggy sofa?

West Elm Is Offering Full Refunds On Peggy Couches

New sheets, 2 sets: $40 because I am fine with basic cotton sheets that have suboptimal thread count, I’ve never slept on anything different and I don’t want to know what I’m missing

New pillows, 2 pillows: $40

New shoes, 2 pairs: $100

New jeans, 2 pairs: $30 if I buy them at Old Navy, $160 if I buy them at Ann Taylor Loft

New white undershirt tank tops, 8 ct: $30 because I’ll buy them at Old Navy for sure and then wear them until they turn gray, that’s how this goes

New inkpens because I broke all the clips off mine so I can’t clip them to my notebook even though they’re still full of ink, 5 ct: $6

Total potential cost of all current wants: $886

Addenda:

Items I might want in the future but I don’t actually want now because what I have right now fits in my apartment: new convertible standing desk, new desk chair, new kitchen table, new kitchen table chairs, second bookshelf to hold even more books.

Items I recently bought for myself so we don’t misunderstand my list of wants as deprivation: $69.04 of Sephora makeup because it was time to do the Annual Makeup Replacement (yes, makeup has an expiration date); $53.04 of J.C. Penney underwear because it was also time to do the Annual Underwear Replacement.
