On Rachel: Jean jacket, thrifted, $5 • Dress, eShakti.com, $56 • Scarf, thrifted, $2 • Shoes, Tory Burch, $1.50 and some emails. Outfit total: $64.50

“I bought the shoes at the Salvation Army with a missing toe medallion and contacted the company about buying a replacement medallion, which turned into them just replacing the shoes altogether for free — an act of outstanding customer service I am still in awe of. Apparently that’s why you buy $225 flats instead of just going with the $17.99 Payless option.”
