Good Work, Gumshoe, Gold Stars

Today I am incapable of doing anything except stare slack-jawed at storm pics (I MEAN), and Mike is anxiously awaiting a phone call from one of the 249382 volunteer lists he signed up for. So while Mike saves the world and I just, I don’t know, think about things, we’re going to quit for the day. But you should know that, somewhere in New York, FWD’s Jack Stuef has done his job today — and done it well.

Stuef uncovered the identity of an anonymous Twitter user who willfully spread false information about the storm last night (“BREAKING: Confirmed flooding on NYSE. The trading floor is under more than 3 feet of water”). Dude is … “a hedge-fund analyst and the campaign manager of Christopher R. Wight, this year’s Republican candidate for the U.S. House from New York’s 12th congressional district.”

Trolls: They’re just like you and me, except they have fancier jobs, and also are assholes.
