Monday Check-In

It’s Monday, which means it’s time to check in with our weekend spending.

Last week, I estimated that I would spend $15 on an Uber/Lyft back from the Sunday in the Park with George cast party. I didn’t end up spending that $15, but I did spend $125.37 at Target on a solid gold-colored prelit Christmas tree, some gold fairy lights to stick in vases, some lightbulbs, and a thing of face wash. (Yes, I finally bought a Christmas tree after too many years of not having one, and I went with the theory that if you’re going to get an artificial tree, it should look as glitteringly artificial as possible.)

I also spent $3.50 on snacks, bringing my total spending to $128.87.

Today, I’m going to donate $25 to the American Red Cross to support people affected by the California wildfires. If you’re interested in making a similar donation, here’s a list of what and where to give.
