Call For Pitches: Taxes

Time to pay up.

It’s the most wonderful time of year and we would love to read your stories about taxes.

What we’re looking for: stories about how you paid your taxes; why you’re not paying your taxes; getting an extension and feeling strange about it or good or both. Is this the first year you’re using an accountant? Did you get screwed by TurboTax? As long as the story has a sharp, clear narrative bent, we’d love to read it!

What we are not looking for: tips for first time taxpayers or for people who can’t do their taxes. There are plenty of other sites out there that will give you tips and tricks for not losing your mind during this tax season; we’d much rather read your stories about anxiety, happiness, trepidation, fear and whatever other feelings spring to mind when you think about your taxes.
