Couple making ‘pretty good’ money off Trump clothing

It’s early Thursday afternoon, and [Angel Hill] and business partner Robert Bennington have claimed squatter’s rights on an otherwise empty overgrown asphalt lot.

Nomadic in nature, at least since Trump announced he was running, the couple regards Sarasota, Florida, as home. Bennington and Hill migrate from state to state, peddling their political wares at Trump Republican rallies and whatnot in the midst of the New York businessman’s bid to become the next president of the United States.

They are working their way to Virginia, where Bennington said they will meet some people to pick up more supplies.

My first question was “is this unauthorized Trump merchandise?” but then I thought of all the comic conventions I’ve been to where vendors sell all kinds of technically unauthorized clothing based on major media properties, so I figure these people will probably be fine.

Here’s the really telling part of the article, though:

“I just started about five weeks ago,” said Hill, a red, white and blue scarf tied tightly around her head. “I’ve probably been to about 10 states in five weeks. It’s an experience. It’s good; it’s bad. I’m the only driver, so that’s bad. The rest is awesome.”

She called the money pretty good. In fact, Hill said it’s probably the most money she has ever made at any one job.

That’s a story in itself, and the Fayetteville Observer does not tell it, but you already know all of the important details: a 53-year-old woman is making more money selling Trump-themed clothing outside of rallies than she’s ever made at a single job.
