What’s On Your Grocery Receipt, Billfold Readers?

Yesterday I shared how much I spent on my most recent grocery trip, and Billfolder LFar had AN IDEA:
AN IDEA! A series called “Tell us about your last grocery bill” (sort of like the old “Last $100” series, or like a “what’s in your purse” kind of thing, a snapshot of a moment, except in this case the snapshot is a receipt)
I’d call that a brilliant idea.
If you’d like to participate, send me a picture of a recent grocery receipt, as well as any thoughts you’d like to share about your grocery habits. Feel free to keep it short, because I’m going to run a bunch of these side-by-side so we can compare and contrast and discover exactly what we’re all spending on frozen chicken breasts, bags of almonds, bottles of coconut-scented body wash, and all that other stuff we put into and/or onto our bodies.
Also, let me know if you’d like to be referred to by your Medium account handle, or if you’d prefer to be anonymous. Groceries can often be really personal, after all—there’s a whole culture ready to criticize us for every bite of food we eat, not to mention all the “wasteful” money we spend on “junk.”
Lastly, if you feel comfortable sharing where you live, drop that info in with your receipt. I’m curious whether we’ll see significant cost variations from readers in different areas of the world.
