Do 1 Thing Like This Guy, Leave A $2K Tip At Your Favorite Restaurant
Thursday is a great day to do that 1 thing you don’t want to do but also don’t want to continue thinking about doing.
My little family is headed to a wedding in the Berkshires this weekend, which means we need to pack the toddler into a rental car with enough diapers, wipes, sippy cups, white noise, snacks, toys, books, markers, and other distractions — like audio versions of “Peter And The Wolf” and “Winnie-the-Pooh” — to last through Sunday. My 1 thing is to pack both the stuff I remember now, like extra clothes and towels in case we go swimming; sunblock; the cute headdress to go with her flower girl outfit, and the stuff I’ll wish I had remembered later. (A straightjacket and ear plugs, probably.)
I wish my one thing were to totally make someone’s day, like this guy in DC did when he tipped $2,000 on a $93 tab — to be split among the chef, the owner, and the bartender at his favorite gumbo joint.
What about you?
