Thanksgiving Weekend Estimate
It’s the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, which means it’s time to estimate how much we’re going to spend over the long weekend — and this weekend includes not only Thanksgiving, but also Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, so there could be a lot of spending.
My parents and I are going to spend Thanksgiving at the nursing home, but we’ll also be doing a turkey dinner on Saturday, to which I am contributing bread and cranberry dressing. I already spent $7.78 on cranberries, apples, an orange, and spices (because I am making this dressing from scratch, wish me luck) and will spend another $5 or so on a loaf of bread from a local bakery on Small Business Saturday.
I’ll probably spend $20 on a Lyft/Uber to my parents’ house on Saturday, and then they’ll drive me back so they can see my solid gold-colored Christmas tree (which is scheduled to arrive on Friday). I mean, not to predict what they’ll do or anything, but that’s probably what will happen.
Besides that, um… oh, right! I scheduled a massage for Sunday, and it usually costs $60 with tip but I get $15 off because it’s my birthday month, so… $45ish.
Total estimate: $70.
How about you?
