Call for Pitches: HOLIDAYS and RESOLUTIONS

It’s that time of year… and it’s time for another call for pitches.

I’m looking for pieces about HOLIDAYS and RESOLUTIONS (bet you can’t guess why), and I’m leaving this topic very broad because I want to see what y’all come up with. Fiction, humor, weird stuff, true stories about your budgeting and spending decisions, heartfelt lists of 2019 resolutions — pretty much the only thing I don’t want is a “10 Ways to Save on Black Friday” listicle, unless you’re writing a parody of those kinds of lists or using the list as the framework for an emotionally driven personal essay.

We pay $40 per piece. Send your pitches to notes@thebillfold.com, and get ’em in by Thursday, November 15. If accepted, I’ll need your draft by December 5 at the latest. Thanksgiving-themed pitches that you can turn around super-fast are welcome, and I’ll prioritize them in my pitch inbox.

I look forward to reading your pitches!
