What’s Your Financial Goal for This Week?

I’m focusing on reducing costs while traveling.

It’s Monday, which means it’s time to set a financial goal for the week.

This week, since I’ll be on travel, I’m going to focus on reducing travel costs. I already wrote about how I made an outfit grid to help reduce the amount of stuff I planned to pack, which means I won’t have to pay to check a bag.

What Is an “Outfit Grid?”

I’m also going to plan ahead to avoid restaurants (except when meeting up with other people) and expensive airport food. I’m bringing a box of granola bars, a pack of string cheeses, and a resealable container of baby carrots with me to start—and to get me through that 6-hour flight from SEA to EWR—and from there I plan to grab bananas, tuna pouches, and such from convenience stores.

I’m also taking my own refillable water bottle so I never have to buy bottled water.

So that’s my financial goal for this week. What’s yours?
