Welcome back! Let’s see how close our weekend spending came to our Friday estimates.

Last Friday, I estimated that I would spend $10.50 doing three loads of laundry and that I didn’t need to buy anything else this weekend.

I did spend $10.50 doing laundry.

I also spent $59.12 on groceries.

Then I spent $4.37 on a Kindle book for this week’s Children’s Lit and Money column, which I hope you’ll think is a great idea. (HINT.)

I made a $100 donation to the FDNY Foundation.

Lastly, I spent $4,400 on estimated taxes.

Total spending: $4,573.99
