Monday Check-In

Harriet the Spy

Happy Monday! Let’s check in on our weekend spending.

This was a slow and relaxing weekend for me. I read both Matthew Desmond’s Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City (because my library hold finally came through) and Louise Fitzhugh’s Harriet the Spy ($6.99, because my library hold didn’t come through and I needed to read it before we discuss it this Wednesday).

I also went to Hugo House’s last event in their old building (before they tear it down and replace it with a new, non-falling-apart building). Jenny Offill read a new short story, I dropped a dollar in Hugo House’s donation bucket ($1), and even though I took the bus down I ended up taking a Lyft back ($22.34).

I did spend $7 on laundry, and I also spent $6 at Walgreens.

Total spending: $43.33.

How about you?
