Monday Check-in

Good morning! Let’s check in.

I met up with some old grad school friends on Friday evening — some of whom I hadn’t seen in eight years — for dinner at Lafayette where we ordered a few bottles of wine, shared a few plates, and left with our bellies full of croissant bread pudding ($98). On Saturday I picked up some books at Book Culture for my friend’s baby shower (The Paper Bag Princess, Madeline, $19) and spent Sunday at the shower and then grabbed some Thai food with two pals afterwards ($38). I had estimated $130 and spent $155.

And how about you? How were your weekends?

N.B. If you are thinking about donating money to help in the aftermath of the earthquake in Nepal, The New York Times has a list of groups looking for donations, as does Public Radio International.
