My 1 Thing is the best 1 Thing, as today it is: Use my dad’s credit card number that he just gave me to to buy myself some Christmas presents and send them to my parents’ house so they can wrap them and then we can all be surprised on Christmas morning. I mean! I resisted this method of Christmas wish fulfillment for a really long time because … I didn’t want to rob my mom of the real fun experience of going to the mall five thousand times to try to decipher what, “I don’t know, don’t get me anything, I don’t need anything, but maybe some shirts or sweaters, I don’t know, you know what I like” meant. Anyway, this is much more humane, for her. Although I’m kind of paralyzed because I haven’t been on the Shopping Part of the Internet in so long. There’s so much. It’s so shiny. Want. All. Things.
