Financial Planning Days Are Here

The New York Public Library is hosting a “Financial Planning Day” on Friday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. where anyone can come and meet with a certified financial planner for a free 30-minute session. This tip comes from our pal Deb Weiss who says: “I went to this last year in D.C. and met with a financial planner for free. It was great.”

Financial Planning Day is hosted by the Financial Planning Association, which offers the free one-on-one sessions and workshops. The financial planners involved are volunteers who will not sell products or hand out business cards, and the sessions and workshops are hosted all across the U.S. during the months of October and November (see the list of days here).
