Another Kind of Strike That Works

And the women say the conditions of that road is so bad that it takes them 12 to 14 hours to get to the nearest hospital. Otis says even pregnant women have died in the back of ambulances, trying to get to a hospital to give birth.
That’s why they’ve gone on a sex strike, dubbed the “crossed legs movement.”
In a small town in southwest Colombia, the road conditions are terrible and promises of repairs have gone unmet for years. So the women in the town decided to go on a sex strike until things improved. The strike appears to have been effective — a reporter says he’s seen photos of bulldozers and heavy machinery starting repairs.
