Friday Estimate

It’s Friday, which means it’s time to estimate our weekend spending.

This weekend, I’m having a big pile of groceries delivered. This’ll count towards August’s grocery budget even though I’m making the purchase in the last few days of July, because budgeting is weird and everyone does it differently.

BTW, I saw in the comments that people wanted to share a month’s worth of grocery spending, so if you’re interested in tallying up your grocery costs, pitch me — and I’ll do it too, starting with this delivery batch.

I’m also probably buying my mom a plant for her birthday, ’cause she mentioned she wanted to go plant shopping, though I know she reads The Billfold and I hate to spoil the surprise. (HI MOM! If you don’t want a plant we can get something else, see you soon!)

Total spending: $130.
