Friday Estimate

It’s Friday, which means it’s time to estimate our weekend spending.

Tonight, I’m going to the opening night of Heathers at Theatre Cedar Rapids. I just watched the movie for the first time to be prepared, and found it kind of repellent — I’m not a fan of casual cruelty, I’m even less of a fan of stories where men trick women into doing things they’ve repeatedly stated they do not want to do, and the movie is really uncomfortable to watch during our current era of mass shootings — but I like musicals and I already bought the ticket ($36), so I’m telling myself I’m interested to see how this version plays out.

I also need to buy the bus pass that I didn’t get last week, so $10 for that, and another $25 as I restock my refrigerator with cottage cheese, yogurt, and produce.

Total estimate: $35.
