Friday Estimate

It’s Friday, which means it’s time to estimate our weekend spending.

I don’t know if you follow my writing at Lifehacker, but I recently did a piece about “building your social budget like a financial budget,” which means that when I did my Mint budget yesterday, I also did some calendar work to figure out how much time I’d have available for hanging out with friends, when I’ll see my folks, how much time (and money) I’d have to do arts/community events, etc.

This is the long way of saying that I was planning to buy tickets to both Ballet Quad Cities and the Cedar Rapids Follies this weekend, except when I went to check on the exact amount the tickets would cost, I went ahead and bought them. (Total cost: $58.50.)

Otherwise, I’m going to be at Ragtime rehearsal for most of the weekend (we’re going into tech) so I’m guessing it’ll be a low- or no-spending weekend.

Total estimate: Maybe $20? If I end up grabbing food with some of the cast/crew or something?

What about you?
