It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time to share our recent financial successes.

I am not sure whether I successfully completed the 9-page form to rollover my TIAA 403(b) to Vanguard; I did call Vanguard and then TIAA for the necessary information, and I did turn the form in to TIAA, but… you know that feeling you get when you call customer service and try to explain your problem and they keep giving you a solution that makes you feel like they don’t really understand your problem?

I am very curious whether TIAA will send my form back because I didn’t get it authorized by my former employer. When I asked customer service about this, the CSR kept saying “we’ll take care of that,” and I kept saying “but there’s a blank on the form that says I need employer authorization, what does that mean and how do I get it?”

So… we’ll see! Will my request be denied? Will I have to contact my former employer? ONLY TIME WILL TELL.
