Friday Estimate

It’s Friday, which means it’s time to estimate our weekend spending.

This weekend, I’m buying a bike. (Plus a helmet, lock, and lights.) It’s finally warm enough, the snow has melted, and I’m going to need it to get to Ragtime rehearsals.

I already checked the used bike collective and they didn’t have the type of bike I was looking for, so I’m going back to a local bike shop that I visited in December. (I am pretty sure I know exactly which bike I’ll get, but I need to give it a test drive first. Also — before you ask — it already comes equipped with fenders, mud flaps, a rear carrier with straps, reflectors, and a bell.)

Total estimate: $525.
