Monday Check-In

Happy Monday! Let’s check in on our weekend spending.

This weekend, I budgeted $15 for Independent Bookstore Day and spent $18.05. (I am about halfway through Ted Chiang’s Stories of Your Life and Others and I want to know: does anyone else empathize with the heptapods? That whole section about writing as a performative act. Um.)

I also budgeted $60 for groceries and spent $40.15. (Yes, I deliberately cut back to account for the slight overspending on books.)

Lastly, I spent $5.75 on laundry, as I predicted.

Total spending: $63.95.
