What Childhood Toy Did You Want But Never Receive?

Since we’re discussing wants on The Billfold.

I’m on the JoCo Cruise this week, which means I have no internet access. (It’s going to be the best, I tell you.)

In my absence, I’ve left you a week’s worth of Questions of the Day to consider.

Today’s question fits The Billfold’s recent look into what we want, or in this case what we wanted: What childhood toy did you want but never receive?

I’m not sure I have a good answer for this one, since I received an American Girl doll when I was ten years old and it kind of extinguished all other toy desires. Prior to my Kirsten doll, there were toys I wanted because I saw them on commercials, like Little Miss Makeup dolls or that Lego castle with the glow-in-the-dark ghost; afterwards I don’t remember wanting toys with quite as much fervor. The American Girl gift was large enough—figuratively and literally—that it filled my imagination.

What about you?
