Monday Check-In

Happy Monday! I don’t know about you, but I achieved all of my spending goals this weekend and more.
I estimated that I would spend $7 on laundry, and I spent $7.
I estimated that I would spend $80 on groceries, and I only spent $48.08—including all the ingredients required to make eggplant Parmesan.
I thought that I could take Lyft to go downtown this weekend, but I might take the bus instead. I did, saving myself approximately $40.
I estimated that I would spend $13 on a cocktail at The Doubleclicks/Molly Lewis/Joseph Scrimshaw show this weekend, and I spent $12.
I also spent $25.65 on dinner, which I hadn’t planned for. (Good thing I took that bus instead of the Lyft.)
Most importantly, I spent $287 on a Sealy Posturepedic Orchard Valley mattress set (mattress plus foundation) that was originally priced at $849. Once tax, delivery fee, and “remove your old mattress fee” were added in, the actual total came to $435.11. I’ll do a full write-up on “how I bought a mattress” later today, so watch for it.
Total spending: $527.84.
How about you?
