I Can’t Wait to Meet You All

Meet your newest Billfold editor!

Hello! I’m Megan and I love money: earning it, talking about it, poking friends and loved ones in the shoulder and asking them where they got their coat and how much it cost. Talking about money is gauche, so they say, but very little about me is proper. This habit of mine — talking about money as if it were perfectly natural and not wrong or bad — makes me a bad dinner guest, probably, but an excellent person for this very site. And now, here I am, joining you as a new Billfold editor starting next Tuesday.

I’ve contributed frequently to the site over the years, writing mostly about my family. I’ve written about my mother’s job search and the time I worked for a sensual masseuse. I’ve written about being the “only one” at work and the horrors of Slack and what a young professional’s closet should look like. I’m very excited to join everyone here and to write about money and class and privilege and unnecessary clothing purchases and whatever else falls in between. This should be a nice time. I’m sure of it.
