So a lot of us have made careers out of reading newspapers (online, of course) and then summarizing those reporters’ stories with our own commentary and a dash of personal experience, and John Oliver—who admits right away that he does the exact same thing every week—is here to remind us that those reporters are not getting paid as much as they should, and their jobs are disappearing, and once they’re gone there will be nothing for the rest of us to do but reblog YouTube videos with a sentence of text and call it an article.
