Monday Check-In

Happy Monday! Let’s see whether our weekend spending estimates were accurate.

Last Friday, I estimated that I would spend $75 on groceries and $5,089 on 2015 taxes and first quarter 2016 estimated taxes.

I ended up spending $72.91 on groceries and $5,089 on taxes.

I also spent $20.85 on a Lyft ride from my apartment to the writing class I took at Hugo House, because I had just done the whole “take the bus for 90 minutes and still arrive late” thing on Thursday and I was getting tired of it. (The Lyft ride took 20 minutes and I arrived early.)

Then I spent $0.57 at FedEx Office to print the writing sample I was taking to the class, since I don’t have a printer at home. I also spent $1.74 to fax my signed tax documents to my CPA.

The writing class ran an hour past the scheduled end time, so I ended up paying $13.51 for a sandwich and cookie afterwards because I was going to take the bus home and I couldn’t wait another 90 minutes for dinner.

Total spending: $5,198.58.

How about you?
