A Screenwriter on the How-to-Be-a-Screenwriter Industry

Rachel Syme talks to screenwriter Brian Koppelman about his distaste for the how-to-be-a-screenwriter industry. (“The industry creates the feeling in people that there is some mystery to doing this work, and so in the end it can very easily prey on dreamers.”) Hahaha what kind of dreamer, like the kind of dreamer who thinks writing a screenplay will solve everything and make one million dollars, do those people exist never heard of them. I haven’t taken a class, but I’ve read (“read”) Story and Save the Cat. Didn’t buy them though. Inherited them from other dreamers. Have you taken a class? EMAIL ME.
