Moving Via Public Transportation

This piece on “how to move in NYC without spending a fortune” is about using public transportation — specifically the subway — to move all your belongings, which really sounds like a last resort/nightmare scenario to me. It’s probably not that bad if you, say, own no furniture, but what do these people do when they get to the part where they have to move their bed or couch (there are no mentions of either beds or couches in the story)? Movers, they are godsends. [Thanks to our pal Emma Carmichael for sending us this story!]
