Postcards from the Nest

I’ve been to a few college graduations where one of the students giving a commencement speech tells a version of the following joke: “I know that everyone graduating today is looking forward to what’s coming next. And parents, I’m sure you’re looking forward to having us live with you again.” Lots of laughs. A real crowd-pleaser!

The Guardian has dispatches from college students who’ve moved back home with mom and dad, as well as thoughts from their parents. It’s still really hard to get those kids to do some chores around the house after all these years. [via]
