#DO1THING

Thursday is a great day to do that 1 thing you don’t want to do but also don’t want to continue thinking about doing.

Today I’m going to physically go to a post office to fill out a card to forward my mail to my current address because every time I’ve tried to do it online (twice) the master of the post office web has said “nyet” because apparently my old address was zoned as a business and you can’t forward mail from a business to a home because ______.

I’ve changed all my addresses on all my accounts. I’m pretty sure. I’m mostly sure. I mean, that was my plan, and yet, the only mail I get at my new house are cards from my mom (best mail) and letters from my health insurance company telling me to pay OR ELSE (or else they’ll cancel my policy). Most of the time I’m just relieved that The Credit Card People aren’t muckying up my table with their dead-tree reminders that I Owe Them A Lot of Money, but then sometimes, like today, I think: Somewhere there is a huge pile of my mail, and maybe I should try to do something about getting that. (Is that how it works?)
