Call for Pitches: No Degree, Healthcare, and Funny Money
It’s a new month, which means it’s time for a new call for pitches!
This time around, I’m looking for pitches on three topics:
No Degree: By reader request, I’m looking for stories from people who did not get a college degree (or, if it applies to you, a high school diploma). How did that affect your employability? Your earnings? Did you actively choose not to get a degree (vs. being in a situation that prevented you from getting a degree), and would you recommend that choice to others?
Healthcare: This is another reader-request topic, and it’s super-broad. Pitch me the stories of how you made healthcare work for you, the time you chose to forego healthcare because it was too expensive, how much you pay for healthcare, that one big emergency room bill you got, etc. etc. etc. If you are going without health insurance, especially now that there’s no tax penalty for doing so, I’d love to hear from you as well.
Funny Money: I’m always interested in humorous pieces and pop-culture-through-a-financial-lens stuff.
We pay $50 per piece now, YAY!!!!!! Please send your pitches to notes@thebillfold.com, and get ’em in by Thursday, January 10.
