What’s Your Financial Goal for This Summer?
This is where we’d usually set a financial goal for the week, but since this week is already either 40 or 43 percent over (depending on when you start your week and whether you count weekends), I thought it might be interesting to discuss our financial goals for the summer instead.
I know, I know, I’m springing this question on you before you’ve really had a chance to think about your goals or create the various action items and metrics required to achieve them. But we still have a month before summer actually begins — remember, it’s technically still spring, never mind the 97-degree temperatures or our cultural decision to soft-launch summer on a day originally intended to honor people who died in military service — so if you want to start thinking about your summer goals now and, like, finalize them in June, that’s cool too.
I know that one of my big summer goals, for example, is to grow The Billfold’s revenue so we can continue to grow our programming, but I haven’t come up with a fully-realized action plan beyond “do one thing that might get us more money every day.” So that’s what I’m thinking about right now.
What about you?
