Call for Pitches: Career Change

It’s time for another Call for Pitches! By reader request, this next series will be about career change.

I’m looking for stories about HOW and WHY you changed careers. What factors did you consider? How long did it take you to make the leap? Did you have to learn new skills/network/etc.? What did you learn? Don’t forget about the money stuff: how much the career change cost (courses, interview clothes, etc.), whether you’re earning more money now, etc.

We pay $40 per piece and I’ll be able to accept 12–15 pieces. Please send your pitches to notes@thebillfold.com with “Career Change Pitch” in the subject line, and make sure they arrive by Wednesday, March 28.
