Do 1 Thing and Drop It in the Mail

It’s Thursday, which means it’s time to Do 1 Thing.

Today, my 1 thing is to mail my 1099 forms and the accompanying 1096 form to the appropriate federal and state tax offices. Yes, I’m turning these in after the deadline because I didn’t realize that I’d need to file a 1099 form for a person I hired last year until I started my own taxes (I already mailed that person their 1099), but I already turned in the Extension of Time Form that gave me until March to get this done, so now I’m ahead of schedule!
