Monday Check-In

It’s Monday, which means it’s time to check in with our weekend spending.

Last Friday, I estimated that I would spend $5.75 on laundry, and I ended up spending $9.25 because I had to wash some bedding again. (That stuff takes forever to dry.)

I also estimated that I would spend $75 on groceries, and I spent $60.95. I’m actually kinda bummed about this because my Safeway app had a coupon for $6 off if I spent $60, and I spent $59.08 before tax, so I didn’t get it. (I was watching the numbers as they rang me up and I saw the total go over $60, so I assumed I’d gotten the coupon and didn’t ask if I could add an extra pack of gum to push me over the required amount.)

I also donated $25 to the Hispanic Federation, to support hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico.

Total spending: $95.20.
