What’s Your Financial Goal for This Week?
Let’s do some goal-setting.

It’s Monday, which means it’s time to set a financial goal for the week.
(Yes, this is a new thing. But I want to see what happens.)
This week, I’m going to review all of my projected income for the rest of the summer, including when I might receive it, and compare it to my list of summer expenses.
I paid for the majority of these summer expenses in May (since a lot of them involved plane tickets), so I’m going to figure out how much of these credit card purchases I’ll pay out of my current checking balance, how much I’ll pay out of my June earnings, whether I’ll need to pay any out of savings, and how quickly I’ll be able to pay my savings back with July/August earnings.
Essentially, my financial goal for this week is to make sure I’m not overspending, and to figure out how I’m going to pay back the costs of my summer. (EVEN THOUGH SUMMER DOESN’T EVEN START UNTIL JUNE 20.)
What’s your financial goal for the week? Are you going to buy that plane ticket now so it won’t cost you more money later? Are you going to commit to a financial habit, like packing your lunch, for an entire week? Are you going to open a Mint or YNAB account and start setting it up?
This isn’t a Do 1 Thing Thursday, where you knock a Terrible Tedious Task off your list. This is… well, it’s goal setting. Which is one of my favorite things.
