Friday Estimate

Anomalisa

It’s Friday, which means it’s time to estimate our weekend spending. It’s also my first Friday Estimate. Hello, mathematicians!

Tonight I’m doing dinner and a movie — Anomalisa, at a small second-run theatre near my apartment ($12). My bf will pay for dinner, since our current arrangement is that I buy the groceries when we eat in, and he pays if we go out. Is this a terrible idea? I don’t understand relationships. Advice welcome!

Tomorrow I’ll be at a livecast of a super-secret-women-only-writers-event (everyone knows what this is, right?), which is free, although before that I have to meet my cat-sitter and pay her to check on my dumb cat next week while I’m away. She charges $20 for a half-hour visit. (I really love my cat.)

Sunday it’s off to the airport! And everyone knows that there aren’t any ridiculous charges associated with flying and we are all super responsible humans who pack food in adorable TSA-approved bento boxes and never fall victim to the $12.95 airport sandwich because nothing tastes better in the cold vacuum of space than a wilted piece of lettuce on stale bread that is your only comfort against the certain knowledge that the plane will go down at any moment, you know it, one human cannot have this much luck. So, $25.

Total estimate: $77.

How did I do? And what about you?
