How do I say thank you for an enormous financial gift?

My future in-laws are helping my fiance and I buy a house. This has involved them writing an enormous check to me. A note, which is my usual go-to for saying “thanks,” seems insufficient. I mean, literally everything seems insufficient, which is why I’m wondering what the Billfold readership would do.

I’m “bad with money,” so underlying my extreme gratitude is also a healthy dose of guilt and anxiety (“I don’t deserve for this to be happening. I am going to screw this up.”)
