Will you be strong and Do 1 Thing?

It’s Thursday, which means it’s time to Do 1 Thing.

This week, my Do 1 Thing is a pretty big thing: I need to finish putting my Patreon page together so it will be ready to go live tomorrow.

I haven’t mentioned it yet, but now seems like as good a time as any: I’m launching a Patreon to support an episodic novel I’m writing called The Biographies of Ordinary People. This is a story I’ve been wanting to tell for a long time, and have been working on, in one form or another, for years. (With the Patreon, it will take the form of one short episode per week, similar to how I structured How Wizards Do Money on The Billfold last year.)

You can read the first chapter here. It’s about three sisters, their parents, and the past 27 years. If you like Mad Men or Little Women, you’ll like this.

Anyway, today I need to shoot a Patreon video, shoot a Patreon thank-you video, and finalize the Patreon copy. That counts as one thing, right?
