She Wore a Raspberry 1 Thing

Thursday is a great day to do that 1 thing you don’t want to do but also don’t want to continue thinking about doing.

Um, this week we are trying to choose a new place to live. (????!) We want to book a trip to the West Coast some time this week but all reasonably priced non-stop flights out of Portland are red-eyes and the one time I took a red eye I swore to myself I would never, ever do it again. And I just cannot have the first flight I take a baby on be a six-hour red eye. I cannot. But can I pay what amounts to an extra $500 to avoid it? I don’t think I can. I think our solution is to take a flight with a layover in Chicago. A full day of traveling with a baby? UGH.

It’s enough to make a person want to live in New York City for another year. It really is.

My 1 Thing is to solve our life, and also to book this flight.
