What Kind of Job Has You Stay in a Minivan Parked on the Street for 3 Days Straight

Two guys were hanging out in a minivan on the block where I work for three days straight. They hung out in the minivan. They got out and walked around. They came back and hung out in the minivan. WHAT WERE THEY DOING? Theories:

• Some kind of drug thing

• Spies

• Security detail

• Hit men

• No jobs, van is their home

• Traffic surveyors

All my theories were wrong. They were hired by a production company to keep people from parking on a three block stretch so that, as the sun set on the third day, a 10-second shot of Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey driving down the street in a vintage Aston Martin could be filmed for a Dolce & Gabbana commercial directed by Martin Scorsese. The two men claimed to have been paid a fair wage for the work.
