Question Wednesday

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to stop wobbling and ask our financial questions.

Today, my question is… well, let’s just open up a discussion of the whole Cohen/Manafort thing, because I’ve finally gotten myself caught up now that the verdicts are in.

If you are not also caught up with yesterday’s verdicts and what they mean, the Washington Post has overviews of both Cohen and Manafort’s cases. (The convictions are all, believe it or not, personal-finance-related. Cohen took out a home equity line of credit to pay Stormy Daniels. Manafort filed fraudulent tax returns while spending millions on what you might call discretionary items, including the infamous $15,000 ostrich leather jacket. Both men lied to banks, evaded taxes, etc. etc. etc.)

Discuss — or ask your own questions — in the comments.
