Friday Estimate
It’s Friday, which means it’s time to estimate our weekend spending.
Tomorrow is Slow Art Day, and the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art is inviting patrons to look at five works of art for 10 minutes each and then participate in a group discussion, which is exactly the kind of thing I would sign up to do. Plus it only costs $7.
My parents and I also have tickets to hear Emanuel Ax perform the Brahms Second Piano Concerto with Orchestra Iowa, but those tickets are already paid for (mine cost $24).
And, weather permitting — because guess what it’s supposed to do this weekend, did you guess SNOW SNOW SNOW — I need to go to the Hy-Vee to grab some fresh bananas, another thing of yogurt, and another bottle of conditioner (or “hair yogurt”), plus a few other items that I might buy now or might hold until next month’s big online order. I’m expecting to spend about $20.
Total estimate: $27.
How about you?
