Question Wednesday

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to dig up those financial questions.

Today’s question comes by Billfolder request: what was your first banking experience? I remember being eight years old and getting a little brown passbook that I was supposed to carry with me every time I went to the bank, so the teller could write down my new balance.

I can’t remember when I stopped using the passbook. Did I keep it up all the way through college? I couldn’t have. I do remember that my hometown bank started offering online banking around 2006 or so, but I can’t remember if I stopped using the passbook before then. (I wonder if I stopped when I got my first checking account as a teenager and learned how to balance a checkbook the old-fashioned way.)

Answer that question—or ask your own—in the comments.
