Monday Check-In

It’s Monday, which means it’s time to check in on our weekend spending.
Last Friday, I estimated that I would spend $5.75 on laundry, and I ended up spending $6. (I need to bump up this estimate now that it’s colder outside. Jeans take longer to dry.)
I also estimated that I would spend $200 (plus Alaska Airlines miles) changing a LAX-SEA plane ticket to accommodate the trip I’ll be taking to Cedar Rapids in November, to see if I want to move there. (Yes, it’s Cedar Rapids—which one of you successfully guessed.)
Unfortunately, Alaska doesn’t really fly to Cedar Rapids; I mean, you can technically get there, but these were the kinds of flights they were showing me when I searched LAX-CID:
Only five left? At that price?
So I ended up keeping the SEA-LAX leg on Alaska; after I perform in Marian Call’s Space Time I’ll fly LAX-DEN-CID and then CID-DEN-SEA on United.
The United flights cost me $539.60.
Canceling the LAX-SEA leg of the Alaska flight cost me $125, but they gave me a $103.20 credit to use towards a future flight.
Total spending: $670.60.
How about you?
