Monday Check-In

Is it the eclipse yet?

It’s Monday, which means it’s time to check in with our weekend spending.

Last Friday, I predicted that I would have a no-spend weekend since there was nothing I needed or wanted to buy.

Then on Sunday I got a calendar reminder to pay rent and pay off the money I’d put on my credit cards this month. (I pay rent early because it takes about a week for Capital One to send my landlord a paper check—which is still way easier than mailing the check on my own.)

So I spent:

$995 on rent

$115.73 paying off my Chase Ink business credit card

$799.33 paying off my Alaska Airlines Visa Signature card

I also got an email notifying me that $49.99 had been automatically deducted from my checking account to pay for my annual TuneCore renewal, so… I spent $1,960.05 during my no-spend weekend.

How about you?
