Friday Estimate!

Good morning, and a happy pre-blizzard Friday to you all. I’ve never been in charge of one of these Friday Estimates. This is exciting.

Mostly I expect to do low-cost, snow-related family things during this, the first winter storm of the season. Or, if the snow is falling too heavily, low-cost hibernation-related family things. I don’t think we need to load up on a lot of groceries; we have the ingredients for veggie chili and a polenta dish, as well as plenty of pantry staples.

A friend is coming over Saturday evening, so we may order in dinner, and my little family is — weather permitting — going to another friend’s house for dinner on Sunday evening, so we’ll need to buy a hostess gift. Let’s say … $75! Then on Monday I’ll get to see how very wrong I am.
