Monday Check-in

Good morning! It’s spring, but it’s still chilly and we may be getting a few inches of snow tomorrow! Let’s check in.
Saturday did actually feel like spring in New York, and I spent the afternoon at a wine tasting ($20) with some friends — one who is an editor at Food & Wine and helped decide which of the 85 wines we should try in our hour and a half time slot. We ended up tasting about 30 wines, and I was good about making use of the spittoon. The thing I love about wine tastings is well, you get to try the wine, and the price points are all there so you know what you like and what’s affordable — I found three I plan to buy in the $20 price range. Also, nearly all the suppliers were from various regions of France and had French accents, which was enjoyable to listen to.
After the wine tasting, we decided to walk up to the West Village, and ended up walking by another free tasting (just five wines this time), before taking a walk on the Highline and grabbing dinner at Co. in Chelsea ($37.48). Groceries were $38.80. My estimate was $140 and I ended up spending $96.28.
How were your weekends?
